Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor have made distinguished careers out of manipulating images: he's an old-school darkroom guy, while she's embraced the computer. For this challenge, they provided ten images for you to remix into an original composition.
Title: Fantasy Nocturne with Victorian. The illustration is mine, and I have the rights to the image.
Terry McKenna
1 girl in a white dress, 3 hats, 1 head, 1 hand, 1 guitar, 3 butterflies, 2 birds, 1 leaf, 2 forests, 1 sky.
Janna
I used photoshop and used all the images you provided in the comp except the sky image.
I shoot portraits and do restorations.I figured a modern vintage ("future past") might be interesting since digital had blurred the line between photography and art.

This remix is about light and music. I shot the strange dome like interior at the Art and Science Museum in Singapore with a very wide angle lens. The ceiling opens to the sky and it was raining that day so there is a combination of water and light filtering through. I thought that the spotlight effect on the guitar and the rim light on the hands would create a visually more integrated concept.
Paul
This image is a homage to Jerry Uelsmann. The hands could be his. The background image of is of the Park by the Bay in Singapore where I live. It had to be in black and white to be true to the spirit of Jerry. For contrast I toned the hands slightly.

So much fun! Wanted to try to use all elements exclusively to tell a personal story

I started this project with the girl. I like that she seems in control over the path in her lap and the bird. After giving the background color the leaves looked like a fitting addition. I had previously colored the butterfly green like the leaves thinking I might use them together. It seemed natural to try to fit the man into the picture. The black bird was a little too sinister for the cheerfulness of the rest of the picture. I made a red diagonal of the bird, ponytail and the man for balance.
Randy
Made up of 3 of the photos with heavy color manipulation in photoshop
Lisa
This composition is made up of 3 of the photos. I'm creating strange trees made of trees and hands.

I wanted the result to burst with some vibrancy rather than lean toward the darker morbidity that seems to come so naturally with antique portraits.

I make a lot of videos using small things, including dolls, and I saw an old cupboard in the alley, cut off the top for a theatre, and took a picture months ago. This wonderful photo remix challenge let me use it in a digital way, adding photos of a crochet doll I made (life size), an old painting, an African head, and your man's hat, the hands, and the crow. Great fun to do! Thanks so much for the opportunity.

I spent most of today working some of my own images together with the images you guys provided. I like to create a sense of believable but exaggerated lighting in surrealistic landscapes. Photo-manipulating is something that I have gotten into recently. I usually work with the brush tool from scratch in Photoshop, so sticking with only photographs is different for me. It was fun.

Using only one file provided.
Thanks for this opportunity to play...
