Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor have made distinguished careers out of manipulating images: he's an old-school darkroom guy, while she's embraced the computer. For this challenge, they provided ten images for you to remix into an original composition.
Created using Photoshop. After playing with the images for a while I began to wonder about the two individuals and what their relationship might be. I tried to illustrate their fictional association as lovers. I call the piece "She gives me butterflies"

Created working with the marble head and hand images using PSE.
John
I wanted to make the image of this man look extrovert. The photo was altered and manipulated in Corel Painter.

Title: "Landscape of the Subconscious"
I created the composition using Photoshop CS5 using only the images provided. I am fundamentally influenced by both Uelsmann and Taylor in my own work as a photographer, so I just wanted to take part in this as an opportunity to work on something related to them.
Ally
Just wanted to keep it clean with an open message.

Maggie Taylor inspired. I used the Marble head and Blackbirds to give the lady a feeling of stillness/death, and the butterflies to give the photograph of the man a feeling of motion/life. This is the first time I have used illustrator to do anything like this. Hope you like it!
