Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor have made distinguished careers out of manipulating images: he's an old-school darkroom guy, while she's embraced the computer. For this challenge, they provided ten images for you to remix into an original composition.
Hi there. I was hoping to get a little taste of Joel Peter Witkin in there, but mainly I just wanted to create a decent looking composition. Hope you like it.

Thanks!

I used eight of the ten images that were furnished and three Items of mine. The method used was free associating the various images by trial and error. If I couldn't think of how to utilize an image I skipped it. The end result is a little way out but never-the-less interesting. At least I think so.

I use photodeluxe, because it's simple like me!

I used the Hand, Man in Hat, and Girl in a White Dress images. In Photoshop, I manipulated images I had of skeletons, a picture locket, and a man in a suit to have the same color & feel of the original pictures. I superimposed the original Man into the same picture with the Girl and gave him a complete body. I changed the Girl's hand and added a locket with the picture of the Man. I adjusted layer opacity to create an x-ray feeling.

Like a melody softly soaring through the atmosphere.

I used the Path, Sky, and Leaves images. I added my own photos of trees, roots, and tree shadows in Photoshop. I then adjusted the color and contrast to all be consistent with all the elements.

Shirley choked on one too many metaphors about leaves changing symbolizing life passages.

This composition is the smallest digital composite possible using all ten images provided. A single pixel was selected from each image and then placed in alphabetical order - of the original image file names provided - from top left to bottom right. Pixels selected were done so as quickly and arbitrarily as possible. The final composition is two pixels by five pixels, amounting to only 30 bytes of digital information. However these images where originally acquired, let us not forget what is actually bring captured. Note - this submission may be difficult to view in its uploaded form.

I see the leaves as a symbol of time passing. This young lady, from a long ago era, is perhaps still a maiden and time is passing, working against her.
