#3560: New Releases, January 2014
It's the end of the month, which is the time for sharing the latest releases that have come across John Schaefer's desk and into the New Sounds inbox. On deck, a work by Bryce Dessner that was premiered at a New Sounds Live concert event just a few years ago, "St. Carolyn by the Sea," as well as film music by Jonny Greenwood (of Radiohead fame.) Then, listen to some music, both early and late from Denmark, along with what very well might place highly on John Schaefer's end-of-year best-of list: the debut record from the Irish "supergroup," the Gloaming. That, and more.
