$50 and I tipped $5. I feel like the price was a little high for what I got, but I felt okay paying it to the guys who drive down from French Canada and hang out in NYC for 6 weeks (as opposed to buying from a chain store, etc.).

For $20 bucks they would deliver anywhere in Hoboken or Jersey City which was nice. That being said, we purchased a tree that was 2-3 ft taller last year for the same price in Bushwick....

It is fair. Tha cost should include transportation, salaries and a sustainable production of the trees. The tree I bought was imported but it didn's say from where, so proper labeling would be necesary.

Actually, we paid $14.99 (excluding tax) for our tree. Totally worth it! Of course it helps that we have car. Those sidewalk stand guys are price gougers. Supply and demand, right?

The market value of Christmas trees, at least those coming from Canada, are something like $5 per tree. So paying 16 times that value seems a little insane! But apparently $80 is a good price on the Upper East Side for a full, fragrant, nearly 6' tree. I really like this particular vendor, a French Canadian couple, as they are reliable every year.

Yes, this seemed fair to pay for this local, family grown tree. We picked out the tree we liked best on the Miller's Hill Farm tree farm. We watched it as it was cut-down, (the nice man even took our picture) watched as it was put on the tractor, and brought to our car where they helped tie it to the roof. We had a lovely day!
