Master of suspense Wes Craven has been orchestrating horror for more than four decades. Now, you have an opportunity to get a little payback.
We want you to create a super-short horror movie 30 seconds or less on the theme of "young genius." Craven will announce a winner on the show.
The deadline to be considered for our challenge is 11:59pm ET March 2, 2014.
UPDATE: The winner of our contest is Jake Jarvi for his film ...Jake.

Slasher horror short my friend Elias and I made specifically for the 30 second horror film fest. This is our first attempt at a horror short film. We are currently working on a 70-esque zombie film, and so this is something we did for fun on the side. I am especially proud of the mask that we made out of latex and fiberglass insulation for this short (which is the same method used to create Leatherface's masks in Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre).

Dreams really do come true. So do nightmares. This short film follows a young genius (nerd) with coulrophobia (fear of clowns). He is trapped in a snowy forest and spots a sign that says “I KILL NERDS” But he’s not alone. What will happen next? Will he live to see another day? Or will he perish in the blanket of white snow, forever? From the mind of Sid Gopakumar comes a tale so scary with a twist ending you never saw coming!
Thanks to Helmut Hampton for providing the scary soundtrack in the film!
