Master of suspense Wes Craven has been orchestrating horror for more than four decades. Now, you have an opportunity to get a little payback.
We want you to create a super-short horror movie 30 seconds or less on the theme of "young genius." Craven will announce a winner on the show.
The deadline to be considered for our challenge is 11:59pm ET March 2, 2014.
UPDATE: The winner of our contest is Jake Jarvi for his film ...Jake.
See Wes Craven's shortlist here.
“I was really impressed and entertained by all that I saw,” says our judge.
Thanks to everyone who shared their work with us!

I am inspired by my surroundings - Sleepy Hollow, NY, where I live - and have footage from the famous cemetery (the stone angel) and, down the road, Washington Irving's home (where, strangely, the geese happened to be having a brutal fight). When I think back on the scariest movie moments in my childhood, the twins in the hallway of The Shining stand out so indelibly. There is something particularly horrifying about children in horror movies - innocence mixed with the pure potential of something so utterly other. As I watch my own kids, I see their potentials for creation and destruction, love and violence all coiled up into a tight and beautiful spring.
