Remembering Richard Hake, With Colleagues Past and Present

WNYC News | Apr 27, 2020

Richard Hake, the much-loved host of Morning Edition on WNYC, has died. He was 51 years old.

WNYC's Sean Carlson hosted the morning show on this first Monday without Richard, and we invited WNYC host and reporter Shumita Basu and former host Soterios Johnson to share remembrances of their colleague -- along with some of the outpouring we've heard from our listeners.

You can leave us a voicemail remembering Richard Hake at 646-470-7736. Please mention your name and where you’re listening from. Your voice may be played on the air.
