Mike Birbiglia's 'The New One,' Comedians on Birthright Citizenship, 'Believed'

Mike Birbiglia joins us to discuss his new Broadway show, “The New One.” It opens on November 11 at the Cort Theatre 138 W. 48th St.

 

Writer, director, and host of the Earwolf podcast “Fake the Nation,” Negin Farsad, Maeve Higgins, writer, comedian and host of the podcast “Maeve in America: Immigration IRL,” and Jordan Carlos, a comedian who is currently a writer on the HBO series “Divorce,” discuss (at 21:00) President Trump's proposed ending of birthright citizenship.

 

Michigan Radio reporter Lindsey Smith joins us (at 40:00) to discuss co-hosting the new NPR podcast “Believed” which looks at how Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor, got away with sexually abusing patients for more than 20 years.
