Optimism in NYC; New York State’s Dream Act; Teens and the Internet
The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute released a new poll of New York City voters on the new mayoral administration and other political and economic issues, and it found black and Hispanic voters are much more optimistic about the future than white voters. Quinnipiac’s director Maurice Carroll helps sort out why there is such a big disparity. Plus: New York State Assembly member Francisco Moya talks about the state's Dream Act, which is not likely to make it into the state budget; danah boyd instructs us what to worry about – if anything – with teens online; and a music critic defends the current state of music criticism.
