On their own, both Del McCoury and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band are masterful purveyors of American musical traditions. On a recent collaborative record called American Legacies, listeners got the chance to hear a distinctive musical mash-up, where the king of bluegrass meets the kings of New Orleans jazz. The 12-piece group brought their joint take on a century of song to the Greene Space earlier this year, and we share it with you again today.
