Louisiana has become the first state to track nearly all of its government vehicles. It's hoped to cut down on fuel use and prevent accidents. And, the project is off to a good start.

More than 20 states have budget problems, but one of the biggest budget deficits is in Louisiana. Gov. Jindal's presidential hopes are complicating efforts to fix the state's budget woes.

The old bathroom building behind Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in rural Vacherie, La., was little more than a shack. Hurricane Rita almost knocked it down in 2005. It finally got bulldozed in October.

Some members of the parish say that was long overdue.
