In 1989, Black teenager Yusuf Hawkins was murdered by a group of white men in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, sparking a new wave of civil rights activism in the city. Director Muta’Ali Muhammad joins us to discuss his new documentary about the tragedy, “Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn” which debuts on HBO on August 12 at 9 pm. He is joined by Yusuf's brother Amir Hawkins.
