Yagody at DROM

Yagody is a contemporary folk music and theater group from Ukraine, featuring the voices of three women who began by singing the traditional songs of Eastern Ukraine. But with the Russian invasion, they had to move to the western part of the country, and have begun performing original works in addition to old folk songs. In their red, white, and black traditional clothing, Yagody makes a striking visual impression as well. If you’re upstate, they’re playing on April 17 at the Local in Saugerties, and they’ll be playing here in town on Saturday night on April 18 at DROM. Â
