Author Mark Harris and director Laurent Bouzereau join us to discuss their Netflix series, “Five Came Back: A Story of Hollywood and the Second World War.” It follows five Hollywood directors who put their lives on hold to film the war: John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra and George Stevens. The series features interviews with Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Guillermo Del Toro, Paul Greengrass and Lawrence Kasdan, and is narrated by Meryl Streep.

“Five Came Back” launches on Netflix on March 31 and opens the same day at the IFC Film Center.
