LISTEN: The First Official Republican Debate In The NYC Mayoral Primary

Wednesday night, from 7-8 PM EST, the Republican candidates for mayor of New York City will square off on issues facing the city, and who would be the best choice to guide NYC through its next chapters.

Brian Lehrer will be asking some questions as a panelist, along with moderator Errol Louis from NY1, and THE CITY's Josefa Velasquez. To hear some of Brian's recent coverage of the mayoral race, visit The Brian Lehrer Show's archive.

The mayoral hopefuls on the stage will be Fernando Mateo and Curtis Sliwa.

This debate is sponsored by WNYC/Gothamist, NY1, THE CITY. This is the first Republican debate sanctioned by the Campaign Finance Board, and is the result of a partnership that includes Citizens Union, John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Social Work Votes.
