"Vital City" Aims to Chart an Evidence-Driven Path to Public Safety

As New York City grapples with a rising crime rate, Vital City, a new policy journal, aims to find evidence-based solutions to the most pressing public safety problems. Its founders are Elizabeth Glazer, the former Director of the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, and Greg Berman, co-founder of the nonprofit Center for Court Innovation. They spoke with WNYC's Michael Hill about the inaugural issue, which focuses on gun violence.
