Veterans Administration Medical Rehabilitation Service

The NYPR Archive Collections | Jan 1, 2000

On Straight Facts for Veterans, host Ken Joseph speaks with Albert J. Bremen, of the Bronx County Courthouse Office of the VA, on the rehabilitation of veterans "from hospital patient to productive citizen." Bremen asserts that veterans who study a trade make a quicker recovery and can more easily assimilate back into civilian society. He gives examples of programs offered by the VA and industries that are collaborating.

The program begins with a few short news items on GI Insurance advice, legal counsel for home buyers or builders, unusually high hospital quotas, and a caution, "Veterans, did you know you are scaring the girls with your wife hunting approach?".
