Vaya Futuro – "El Abuelo" (Weekly Music Roundup)

The Mexican band Vaya Futuro's sonic spectrum encompasses different musical genres ranging from flamenco, jazz, ambient, orquestal arrangements and electronic experimentation in the recording studio. They also have some big ideas behind their songs. Their forthcoming album is called El Peso Del Mundo (“The Weight Of The World”), and we just premiered the album’s opening track, “El Abuelo” (“Grandfather.”) The subject is nothing less than humanity’s relationship with nature, and the song’s cinematic sweep is matched by a stunning video, full of contrasting but sometimes oddly complementary images of the natural world and the modern human one.
