Embedding in the Alt-Right

Vegas Tenold, journalist and the author of Everything You Love Will Burn: Inside the Rebirth of White Nationalism in America (Nation Books, 2018), talks about what he learned embedding himself in three white nationalist extremist groups over seven years. Tenold says that white nationalist groups, both old and new, are fueled by "a conspiratorial mindset" and "the notion that white people are under siege." 

Tenold also described white nationalist members as having a complicated view of President Trump. Disappointed in the President for bombing Syria, and diverting money from Appalachia regions, they support the President for his stance on immigration, saying "he can be the worst President ever but if he builds that wall it will be worth it."
