Every year, the American trumpeter Dave Douglas presents a Festival of New Trumpet Music, and like many events, this year’s festival has been moved online. But that means that trumpeters from around the world can be represented, and this evening’s lineup includes musicians from Mexico, Kenya, and this London trumpeter Laura Jurd. Jurd has both classical and jazz training, but she’s also fond of electronic music, as you can hear in the effects she uses on her trumpet here. Laura Jurd does a solo set with electronics as part of the Monday night, Sep. 14 BRASS WITHOUT BORDERS #1 lineup in the Festival of New Trumpet Music.
