Trump Heads to the Hamptons Seeking Campaign Cash
Election day 2020 is more than two years away, but President Donald Trump is already raising money for his next campaign.
On Friday, he’ll appear at a luncheon at the home of Howard Lorber, one of his best friends. Lorber is the owner of the Douglas Elliman real estate brokerage and also Nathan's hot dogs.
The Republican National Committee isn't saying whether weiners are on the menu. But RNC says the fundraiser-lunch will have about 60 guests, and has raised around $3 million for a joint Trump-RNC fundraising committee.
In June, the Trump Victory fund reported it had raised $27 million so far this year. New York City is the biggest metro area for its donors, and finance and real estate, are the biggest industry contributors, according to analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics.
