The Scottish rock band Teenage Fanclub has been around a long time. Long enough that Kurt Cobain of Nirvana was a fan, once referring to them as the “best band in the world.” Actually, it took them a few years in the early 90s to find their musical footing, but eventually Teenage Fanclub settled on a poppy, guitar-driven alternative rock sound with vocal harmonies that recalled 60s bands like The Byrds. Last fall they released their twelfth album, called Nothing Lasts Forever. Except maybe Teenage Fanclub… They play Saturday, April 27 at White Eagle Hall in New Jersey, and at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Sunday, Apr. 28.
