Most of the best storytellers, in prose or in song, give you a strong sense of place. And the place where most of Suzanne Vega’s stories have unfolded over the years is right here in New York. So when the Composers Concordance Chamber Orchestra wanted to do a program of music inspired by Greenwich Village as part of the annual festival known as the Village Trip, Vega seemed like an appropriate choice. The singer and the orchestra collaborate on Sept. 14 at the Players Theater, in the Village, as part of the Village Trip Festival.
