Summer Cooking, August is Sandwich Month

The NYPR Archive Collections | Jan 1, 2000

On this episode of Listen to Nutrition, host Iva Bennett celebrates National Sandwich Month. "August seems to be the month when people eat sandwiches more than any other time. With the picnics at the beach, trips throughout the country, and the usual outdoor life, sandwiches are very handy and convenient to eat at any time!"

She discusses types of bread and fillings to use to have the "real he-man type of sandwiches," and suggest that listeners write in to obtain her booklet, "Sandwiches Around the Clock."
