The singer Bryndon Cook records as Starchild, and he’s just released a new album called Language, credited to Starchild and the New Romantic. And while he draws on a rich tradition of black American music – especially R&B, funk and soul, he also considers himself a romantic, and his album celebrates qualities like sensitivity and vulnerability, which are often seen as signs of weakness in a man. 

Starchild and the New Romantic play a special album release event tomorrow night in The Greene Space.
