The Orchestra of St Luke's has put together a series they call Sounds and Stories, where small ensembles from the orchestra join a noted writer for a program of live music and readings. On Wed, March 3, the Nigerian-American author and photographer Teju Cole joins members of the orchestra to read from an upcoming work, and the musicians will play recent music by Caroline Shaw and old music by Beethoven and really old music by this 12th century abbess and composer Hildegard of Bingen. Author Teju Cole reads and curates the online event with the members of the Orchestra of St Luke’s; actor David Hyde Pierce hosts.
