New York Counterpoint is a work for clarinet and lots more clarinets on tape, by New York composer Steve Reich. And it has at times a swinging, jazzy New York sound. It’s one of the pieces that composer Anna Clyne has picked for her online concert tonight with the Orchestra Of St Luke’s as part of their Sounds and Stories events. She’s also picked a couple of works by Bach, and will unveil a new work of her own with some of the orchestra’s members. Plus, the world premiere of Jyll Bradley’s film, “Woman Holding a Balance,” which features music composed for the film by Clyne. Actor David Hyde Pierce hosts.
