Mexican singer and songwriter Silvana Estrada just released her debut album, but the 24-year old had already made a name for herself with a series of singles that spoke, quietly but poetically, about love and loss, and which drew on traditional music from the state of Veracruz as well as things like Portuguese fado and even classical music. Among the millions who became fans of her YouTube videos were Latin pop stars like Natalia Lafourcade and Jorge Drexler, both of whom Estrada has performed with. Silvana Estrada plays Monday night, Feb. 21 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.
