The experimental soul singer who goes by the name serpentwithfeet (born Josiah Wise) has made a lot of music that has an almost otherworldly quality to it, whether he’s engaged in seduction or… well, it’s mostly seduction, actually. But this track, called “Fellowship,” is about the simple but important pleasures of having, or being, a good friend. The song pieces its rhythm together from lots of little bits of percussion and small, sampled sounds. The rest of the arrangement is fairly minimal, as serpentwithfeet lets his voice do most of the heavy lifting. serpentwithfeet  plays May 23 at Warsaw, the Brooklyn club, not the Polish capital.
