Week Three, right? Has it been that long? Hasn't it been longer? Pulverized concrete still hangs in the air of Lower Manhattan and we look older. On this week's show, we continue to gather the voices telling the stories of New York now. In Queens, an Egyptian coffee shop is ransacked and put back together in more ways than one. We contemplate leaving and contemplate staying. We visit the famous diorama of our city; we miss its former topography.

Sharing the Bad Times
In an Egyptian café on Steinway Street in Astoria, hate is spilled and calmly mopped up. Historian and artist Judith Sloan talks with owner Labib Salama about the return of the four boys who ransacked his coffee shop.

Is this mine? Is it yours?
Next Big Thing producer Jad Abumrad on the ownership of tragedy.

From The Neighborhood
New Yorkers from different places post their to Mr. Beller's Neighborhood (http://mrbellersneighborhood.com). Writer Tom Beller joins Dean Olsher in conversation with contributors to Beller's story repository. Dispatches from Dorothy Spears in the West Village, Charles Waters and Greg Purcell from the World Trade Center, and Jim Merlis from the Brooklyn Bridge. Produced by Catherine Fenollosa.

Re-imagining WTC
Writer and architecture critic Tony Hiss revisits the gigantic diorama of New York City on display at the Queens Museum of Art. The diorama created for the 1964 World's Fair has been updated several times, but now, of course, it's suddenly and tragically out-of-date. The Twin Towers, what they meant, what their absence means now. Produced by Curtis Fox.

What's on your mind?
It's a time for sharing. Voices gathered by producers-on-the-street Emily Botein, Jad Abumrad and Rachel Dornhelm.

Stay or Go?
Writers and spouses Meg Wolitzer and Richard Panek struggle with the idea of changing geography.

Go.
Next Big Thing producer Jule Gardner on packing and going and not loving New York more than ever.

The Next Big Thing with Dean Olsher airs on WNYC New York Sundays from 11am-12 noon on 93.9FM and at 6pm on AM820. The Next Big Thing is funded in part by the Kaplen Foundation.
