Guitar fans take note: Richard Thompson and Tommy Emmanuel will be performing together on Oct. 30 at Carnegie Hall. Both are virtuosos – Thompson with his mix of British folk, rock, and blues, and Emmanuel with his blend of jazz, folk, and country. Emmanuel recently released an album of instrumentals, and Thompson can be relied on to dip into his catalog of classic songs, perhaps “1952 Vincent Black Lightning”.  A genuine 1952 Vincent Black Lightning motorcycle will set you back about a million dollars, if you can find one. Tickets to see Thompson play are considerably less. He and Tommy Emmanuel play on Oct. 30 at Carnegie Hall.
