A Giant of the Violin, with a Talent for Discovering Talent

World-renowned violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter is widely accepted as the most celebrated female violinist in history. She has sustained an international career of the highest caliber for nearly four decades, and this season she assumes the role of Carnegie Hall’s Perspectives Artist. She created the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation to support young, talented string soloists from fourteen different countries, and the capstone of the foundation is her ensemble, The Mutter Virtuosi, comprised of young string players who tour the globe. The Mutter Virtuosi make their Carnegie Hall debut November 18 as part of Mutter's Perspectives series.
