Now, founder Mildred “Mama Dip” Council’s youngest daughter, Anita “Spring” Council, has published a collection of recipes, family secrets, and personal vignettes about coming of age as a Black girl in the Jim Crow South. Anita discusses the book, titled Southern Roots: Recipes and Stories from Mama Dip’s Daughter.
