The covid-19 pandemic has placed an extra burden on the nation's largest police department. The NYPD is now tasked with enforcing social distancing rules at a time when its own officers are falling ill. Nearly 40 officers and civilian employees have died. WNYC's Jami Floyd speaks with Police Commissioner Dermot Shea on enforcement during a public health crisis.
