The Poems of Poetry Month, 2023

WNYC News | Apr 27, 2023

April has come to an end, and so has WNYC's Morning Edition Poetry Month challenge for the year.

We asked you to send us your poems on the theme of "consequences," whatever that meant to you.

And you did. We got hundreds of poems, from stories of heartbreak and profound realization to lighthearted explorations of the consequences of dropping an ice cream cone. Even poems about the consequences of listening to Michael Hill read poems on air.

We're so grateful to all of you who shared your work, and we invite you to read through this curated selection of some of the ones we received this month.
