The Ongoing Troubles of Kushner's 666 Fifth Avenue

WNYC News | Sep 1, 2017

Time is running out for a Fifth Avenue skyscraper owned by the family of Jared Kushner, the president's son in law.

Kushner made his first New York real estate splash back in 2007, when he purchased 666 Fifth Avenue at 53rd Street for a record $1.8 billion. The property has been in trouble ever since.

Now Kushner Companies has to pay its half of a $1.2 billion mortgage by early 2019. A recent Bloomberg News report found the Kushners have been looking for the money around the globe.

David Kocieniewski, co-author of the report, spoke to WNYC's Jami Floyd about his latest findings.
