Examining the NYPD response to Friday's chaotic crowd at Union Square

The chaotic incident in Union Square last week raises questions about how NYPD officers respond to large crowds. Thousands of young people descended on the area after popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat posted that he would host a Play-Station giveaway. His post quickly went viral. When a crowd formed and got rowdy, the NYPD responded in full riot gear.
