New York's decision to eliminate cash bail for most crimes has created a lot of anxiety, especially among prosecutors and those who fear the state is letting criminal suspects go free. In this first of a 3-part series on bail reform, WNYC's Beth Fertig explores how it will work when the city has to monitor up to four times as many defendants, because they can't get bail anymore while awaiting trial.
