Nick Paumgarten Talks to Nicholas Thompson about Drones and the FAA

Drones are considered one of the hot items for sale this Christmas—one industry group estimates that 400,000 will be sold. The FAA has just released a registration system to try to manage the drone boom, and to prevent dangerous encounters between toys and airplanes. Nick Paumgarten, who’s written about drones as tools of surveillance, speaks with Nicholas Thompson, the editor of The New Yorker’s Web site, about the drone era.
