Judith Friedlander, former dean of the Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science at the New School for Social Research, as well as dean and professor at SUNY Purchase and Hunter College, joins us to discuss her new book, A Light in Dark Times: the New School for Social Research and its University in Exile. The New School will host a book launch on February 21. Friedlander will also be in conversation with Jonathan Fanton, former president of the New School, on March 12 at the Roosevelt House at Hunter College, as well as part of a panel discussion on March 26 at the Heyman Center at Columbia University.
