New civil rights org aims to end illegal family separations by child protective services

Nationwide, More than half of all Black children will have gone through some sort of child protective services investigation by the time they turn 18, twice the rate of white children. A newly formed civil rights group in New York City is taking aim at the longstanding racial disparities embedded in the child protective services system. WNYC’s Gwynne Hogan has more:
