National Poetry Month 2024: Jackie Sabbagh

April is National Poetry Month, and Morning Edition is celebrating by inviting local poets from across the region to share their work.

Jackie Sabbagh is a writer and poet living in Brooklyn. Some of her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, which honors short works published in small presses. Jackie is currently working on a novel and a book of poems. She joined WNYC's Michael Hill to talk about how her work has changed during her years as a poet, and the role humor plays in her work.
