Nancy Reagan Remembered As Early Advocate For Stem-Cell Research

Former first lady Nancy Reagan died Sunday at age 94. Her fashion sense, strong will and glamour characterized her time in the White House.

After Ronald Reagan’s presidency, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and Nancy Reagan’s legacy on research into that debilitating condition will also be remembered.

Despite opposition from Republican leadership, Nancy Reagan famously pushed for stem-cell research. Elie Dolgin of STAT joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson with details.
