Touring America's Monuments to Slavery

Clint Smith, staff writer at The Atlantic, award-winning poet, and author of How the Word is Passed: A Reckoning with the History of Slavery Across America (Little, Brown and Company June 1, 2021), leads listeners through a tour of U.S. monuments and landmarks that have a connection to the legacy of slavery and talks about how those places emphasize or distort their history.
