The Mountain Goats via Noonchorus (Live Stream)
April 18, 19 at 8PM EDT. $25.

The Mountain Goats are led by John Darnielle, who in addition to being a singer and guitarist is also a successful novelist. So telling stories – in one form or another - is kinda his thing. Those stories can be deeply poignant, or shot through with Darnielle’s sardonic humor, or sometimes both. And there are hundreds of them – spread over dozens of Mountain Goats releases of various kinds; but this song, "As Many Candles As Possible," is from their latest album, Songs for Pierre Chuvin, so one might expect to hear it on Monday's streaming concert.
