10-Minute Explainer: Who Was Mother Cabrini?

For this membership drive, we'll feature a ten minute explainer on a different topic each day. Up first, Nicole Gregory, writer and editor in Los Angeles, explains the life and legacy of Mother Frances Cabrini, the Catholic nun who was canonized as the first American saint for her work to support Italian immigrants in New York City in the early 20th century. Gregory has also written books about Italian missionaries Matteo Ricci and Eusebio Kino which will be published in 2020.
