Shannon Vittoria, Ph.D., a research associate for The Metropolitan Museum of Art's American Wing, joins us to discuss the exhibit she curated, “Artistic Encounters with Indigenous America," which runs through May 13. On April 26, the museum will host at talk, Artist on Artworks: Wendy Red Star in Conversation with Shannon Vittoria, during which acclaimed artist Wendy Red Star (Apsáalooke/Crow) will share insights on her own artistic practice and her reflections on Indigenous art and representation in The Met’s American Wing.
