All this week, meet one of the local 2020 MacArthur geniuses. Today: Brooklyn's Jacqueline Woodson, 2020 MacArthur Fellow and the author of the National Book Award-winning Brown Girl Dreaming (Nancy Paulsen Books, 2014) and her latest, Before the Ever After (Nancy Paulsen Books, 2020), who has received the honor for "redefining children’s and young adult literature to encompass more complex issues and reflect the lives of Black children, teenagers, and families."
