Since 2006, the rapper and singer Matisyahu has celebrated Hanukkah with a show he calls The Festival of Light. His own songs offer a striking blend of spirituality – often but not always Jewish-themed – with the sounds of rap, rock, and reggae. And he usually welcomes musical guests each night as well. This year, Matisyahu’s Festival of Light takes place over two nights, Dec. 21 and 22, at Brooklyn Bowl.
